Dear Environmentalist,

RE: INTRODUCTION.

I wish to introduce myself. I am Mr. Nahashon Sadat, Information Liaison; Traditional Healthcare Integration Network. Many thanks for the good work you are doing to make the world a better environment for all. Based on mutuality and prompted by common ideology and interests, our organization, Traditional Healthcare Integration Network (THIN) wishes to be considered to join and collaborate with you and other like minded people, to form a strategic network. This approach will provide us with opportunities to penetrate and serve both local and global needs.
Our needs include:

• Opportunities to meet new people
• Have contacts in a wide variety of groups
• Feel we are generally well informed
• Actively share information with those around us
• Stay in close contact with our collaborators and well-wishers
• Regularly attend meetings, training courses and talk to peers (who are majority in informal job market) THIN, through such strategic networks promotes sharing of information and expert knowledge as well as co-working in order to promote common objectives, solve problems and satisfy the expectations and needs of the people.

THIN is a non-profit, non-political development-oriented organization in a developing country, Kenya. THIN promotes traditional knowledge and practices as a vehicle of change in the war against ill-health. This unique initiative aims to integrate education, training and research in various disciplines: primary care, food, nutrition, quality environment, complementary therapies among others. Our strategies are founded on four pillars:
 Reducing vulnerability
 Improving access to resources
 Responding to new technologies while nurturing the old
 Making markets work for the poor and disadvantaged.

THIN feels the need to act not only in healthcare issues but also to resolve the problems of abject poverty through education, community development technology & employment creation, promoting the bonds of solidarity and giving science its meaning. THIN’s plans for the future are realistic and address real problems of the real macro-environment. These plans have been developed in consultation with the potential beneficiaries. Our activities depend on means that are essential, accessible and affordable. Although our organization has been registered for seven years now, we are yet to learn many things. We continue to pick up useful ideas to us. While we try as much as possible to see that the poor and well-wishers work and finance much of our activities designed for their benefits, there is always a shortfall. We depend mostly on volunteers. All our objectives do beg for investments and guarantee for sustainability that will give humanity the ultimate peace and happiness. Things will change if we get the necessary support including harnessing resources that exist today in the country and across vast regions of the globe. Sir/Madam, we kindly request you for your personal intervention and proxy in these endeavors. We would also request you to become friends of THIN organization. We feel that you have been motivated after visiting us and listening to our aspirations and needs. You have become our ambassadors to talk to your colleagues, friends, a friend-of-a-friend, humanists, well-wishers, organizations, private sector and researchers among others. You can articulate a large degree of responsibilities and you have the ability to do that job. This is urgent and critical.
Thanking you for your considerations and solidarity.
Yours Faithfully,

Nahashon Sadat
Information Liaison,
